Renocar Prague – Bubeneč: Renocar (BMW, Mini, BMW Motorrad dealer in Brno and Prague, Czechia) opened its third BMW and Mini service in Prague (Čestlice, Vyšehrad), in 6,500 sqm premises in Bubeneč. Investment in facility (mechanical workshop and tyre service including geometry with 12 workplaces, body shop and paint shop, car wash, parking for 100 vehicles) was in tens of millions of korunas (millions of euros). AutoSAP: Car production in Czechia down by 9.2% y/y to 124,358 in April (Škoda+SEAT/Cupra -8.3%, Hyundai -14.3%, Toyota -5.1%). Buses (Iveco +25.1%, SOR -71.4%, Škoda Electric 0 units), motorcycles (Jawa +3%) successful differently. Slower pace of domestic production of new passenger cars, reflecting cooled demand in key European markets, is reflected in production results of first four months and April itself. Despite this, domestic automotive industry recorded another record high, this time in electric vehicle segment. With total of 27,094 electric vehicles produced, April surpasses previous month’s record results, with pure electric or plug-in hybrid vehicles accounting for quarter of total production at Mladá Boleslav’s Škoda Auto and almost third at Hyundai in Nošovice, Petzl said. Electric car production increased by 115.4% to 27,094 BEVs and PHEVs, while internal combustion engine (ICE) car manufacturing decreased by 21.8% to 97,264 units
