Sales of new light vehicles in USA fell in August (JD Power/GlobalData: -8.4%; Cox Automotive: -8.5%, -5.8% after revision). VDA: Car production in Germany down by 6% y/y in July, export by 4%. Main reason for decline is production stoppage lasting several weeks during retooling of a plant for electric vehicle manufacturing (BMW Munich), association mentioned.
