Cyber attack: Jaguar Land Rover (JLR; plants in UK, Slovakia, China, India, Brazil) extended production shutdown until October 1. Carmaker is working with cybersecurity specialists, UK's National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), law enforcement to ensure operations are resumed. Company provided no details on nature of attack, but it is presumed to be ransomware assault (attack on computer systems with malicious software that blocks access to data).
