PwC confirmed 2026 Czech new car registrations forecast at 250,000-260,000 units (+1% to +5%, 2025: 248,719), based on development to date (Q1: +1.5%, Q2: +10%). In June, Volkswagen (+801 cars), Škoda (+1,759) and Hyundai (+316) showed particularly strong registrations, accounting for 68% increase (+2,876) in month (+4,191); however, new Chinese brands also recorded strong growth. In Q2, BEV market share rose y/y (from 6.1% to record 8.1%), driven by increased interest in Škoda and Tesla vehicles. We expect pace of registrations in H2 to gradually slow down due to weaker consumer demand and lower inflow of new orders, Štefek said
