Cebia Summary 4/2025: Average price of used cars sold in Czechia up by 4.2% y/y to CZK 296,000 (EUR 12,190) in 2025, by 0.7% during Q4 (12% up to CZK 100,000/EUR 4,000, 20% up to CZK 200,000/EUR 8,000, 21% up to CZK 300,000/EUR 12,000, 18% up to CZK 400,000/EUR 16,000, 16% up to CZK 500,000/EUR 20,000, 13% above CZK 500,000/EUR 20,000). One of reasons for price increase towards end of year was lower average age of cars that were newly sold on market. Sales grew by 4.3% to 683,000 cars (2024: 655,000), supply increased by 5.2%. In terms of powertrain types, 47.73% of cars on advertising offer had petrol/gasoline, 45.25% diesel, 3.22% hybrid, 2.46% electric, 0.94% LPG, 0.42% CNG and 0.01% others

Year 2025 confirmed extraordinary resilience and performance of Czech automotive industry. More than 1.44 million passenger cars produced, record bus production and number of successes of domestically produced models across European and global markets. These and other results clearly show that Czech Republic remains one of key manufacturing centers in Europe, even in times of rising costs, volatile demand and uncertain global environment. Accelerating electrification was also significant trend in 2025. Production of electric vehicles increased by almost 90% year-on-year, with every fifth vehicle produced having either purely electric or plug-in hybrid drive, Jahn said. Electric car production increased by 165.9% to 20,167 BEVs and PHEVs in December (+88.7% to 285,176 in 2025), while internal combustion engine (ICE) car manufacturing decreased by 3.8% to 76,461 units (-10.3% to 1.16 million)

Electric vehicle drivers consumed 14,900 MWh of certified green electricity (+56% y/y) in ČEZ Futurego public charging network in Czechia in 2025 during more than 600,000 recharges (+45%) at roughly 1,000 charging stations (+206, of which 133 ultra-fast chargers with outputs of 150-360 kW). Average electricity consumption per charging increased by 5% to 23.2 kWh (2024: 22 kWh), which is related to larger battery capacity of new BEV models and faster charging times. In four regions (Central Bohemian Region, Prague, Hradec Králové Region, South Moravian Region), drivers consumed more than 1,000 MWh. Company increased network capacity (including 40 charging hubs with 3+ UFC chargers) to over 100 MW (+43%).
